Account and data deletion

This page explains how to request deletion of your ZipTv account and the associated data, without having to reinstall the app. You can submit the request at any time.

How to request deletion

You can request deletion of your account and data in two ways:

• From the app: in your account settings, through the dedicated delete-account function, where available.
• By email: by writing to [email protected] from the email address linked to your account, using "Account deletion" as the subject.

We process requests without undue delay and in any case within 30 days of receipt, as required by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

What gets deleted

Following your request, the following are permanently deleted:

• your account and the associated email address;
• the profiles created within the app;
• your favorites;
• your watch history;
• your encrypted sources.

What is retained and for how long

Some data may be retained, even after the account is deleted, only for as long as strictly necessary and where a legal obligation or a legitimate interest applies:

• Technical and security logs (for example IP addresses and access logs): retained for up to 12 months for security purposes and to prevent fraud and abuse.
• Accounting and billing data: retained for 10 years, as required by Italian tax law (art. 2220 of the Italian Civil Code).

Once the relevant periods expire, this data is also deleted or permanently anonymized.
